In Chapter 12:11-12 of The Book of Jachanan Ben Kathryn there is a beautiful parable. Or at least I have named it the “parable of the ripple.”
11 Behold a wonder, O Israel and ye inhabitants of Judaea, a ripple hath gone forth from Zion as when a block is dropped in water. My ripples are gentle and my block is soft, saith the LORD, yet they brought down multitudes and upset many a course. Who shall believe, saith the LORD, and whose spirit shall be tempered? Let him trace the ripples. Is it not easy? But stop and consider. Doth not a straight line lead to the center from no matter where thou encounterest the ripple? Can a ripple come from a false angle? Trace it. Even from the farthest ripple shall they be safely led.
12 For this sake I set in Zion my block, and so I let my ripples silently to go forth. Ephraim was upset and hearkened not. He traced not the ripples but rode out the swells. Let him stop and there consider his God. Yea, our God is the only God.
My interpretation
Ripple: An end time prophet who comes forth in the last days. This could be Jachanan Ben Kathryn, or David (the end time servant spoken of extensively in Isaiah).
Ripples: All of God’s prophets from the beginning to the end of time.
Ripple hath gone for the from Zion: This is referring to the prophet (singular use of Ripple) coming forth from America.
Block: This is Gods word given through the prophets, but it is used in this context because it also serves as a block or wall to those who are blind and deaf to truth. For the unrepentant wicked, who don’t understand scripture or revelation, this block literally serves as a road block, or stone of stumbling (Isaiah 8:14) that they can neither understand or pass through. For the righteous it is the opposite, the block produces ripples and if we follow the true ripples, we will not be led astray.
Ephraim: In this context Ephraim is used to mean the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In verse 11, it says “a” block and “a” ripple hath gone forth from Zion. In verse 12 it says “my” block and “my” ripple. Then it gives us more information on how “my” ripple is different from “a” ripple. “My” ripples go forth silently. Because these ripples went forth silently the LDS church members are upset and hearken not. The vast majority of LDS people will NOT accept these end time prophets of God when they reveal themselves. LDS people “traced not the ripples, but rode out the swells.” The arrogance and pride of LDS people will keep them from hearing and seeing the silent ripples that God will send forth in that day, the end of days.
